📌 About Pionex
Pionex is a cryptocurrency exchange with built-in trading bots. This integration allows you to track your bot
portfolios and manual trades in CryptoDashboardPlus.
⚠️ Security First
NEVER grant trading or withdrawal permissions! Only enable read-only "Read Info" permission
to ensure your funds and bots remain safe.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Log in to your Pionex account
Go to Pionex.com and sign in

Navigate to API Management
Click on your profile icon → Account → API Management

Create a new API key
Click Create New Key or + Create API

Name your API key
Enter a descriptive note like: "CryptoDashboard ReadOnly"

⚠️ CRITICAL: Set API Permissions
This is the most important step - select ONLY read permission:
- ✅ Read Info - CHECK THIS BOX ONLY
- ❌ Trade - DO NOT CHECK
- ❌ Withdraw - DO NOT CHECK

Complete security verification
Pionex requires multi-factor authentication:
- Enter your 2FA code (Google Authenticator or Authy)
- Enter SMS verification code
- Complete email verification (if required)

Copy your credentials
After creation, you'll see:
- API Key - A long alphanumeric string
- Secret Key - Another long string (shown only once!)
Important: Copy the Secret Key immediately - it won't be shown again!

Paste into CryptoDashboardPlus
Return to the "Connect Exchange" modal and paste:
- API Key → API Key field
- Secret Key → API Secret field
🔐 Store Your Secret Key Safely
Pionex shows the Secret Key ONLY ONCE. If you lose it, you'll need to delete the API key and
create a new one. Store it in a password manager like 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass.
✅ What CryptoDashboardPlus Can Do
With "Read Info" permission, the app can:
- View your account balances
- Read your trade history (manual and bot trades)
- Access bot performance data
- View open orders and positions
- Monitor trading bot status
What it CANNOT do:
- ❌ Start or stop trading bots
- ❌ Execute trades
- ❌ Withdraw funds
- ❌ Transfer crypto
- ❌ Modify bot settings
- ❌ Cancel orders

Troubleshooting
- API key not working? Make sure you selected "Read Info" permission only
- Getting authentication errors? Verify you copied the entire Secret Key without extra
spaces or line breaks
- "Invalid signature" error? Check your system time is synchronized (Pionex requires
accurate timestamps)
- Permission denied? Ensure only "Read Info" is checked, no trading or withdrawal permissions
- 2FA/SMS not working? Make sure your phone has good signal and time is synchronized
- Bot data not showing? Some bot types may have limited API support - check if balances are
visible
- Rate limit errors? Pionex has API rate limits - wait a few minutes and try again
💡 Additional Tips
- You can create multiple API keys for different purposes
- API keys don't expire but can be manually disabled or deleted
- Regularly audit your active API keys in the API Management section
- Consider using IP whitelist restriction for extra security (advanced users)
- Bot performance data updates may take a few minutes to sync
